  21.         Its amazing how timely some of the subjects are on this list. I will 
  22. be purchasing a Raptor with a PVR, SR MachIII and of course lightwave next 
  23. week. I have a couple of questions.
  24. 1. Will I be getting a pre-release version of Lightwave?
  25. 2. I think that I am convinced that the PVR has excellent quality but 
  26. someone said something on the list like 'too bad there isn't a REAL 
  27. non-linear editor available yet-maybe at NAB...'. Would anybody out there 
  28. respond to the charge that SR Mach III isn't a REAL NLE? I understand that 
  29. its in its infancy. I also understand the drawbacks as far as audio (I still 
  30. have my Sunrise Studio 16 on my Toaster 4000). The Raptor seems like the 
  31. choice for me especially because I do a lot of animation work (and therefor 
  32. cream at the comparable rendering speeds to my Amiga 4000). This talk about 
  33. 'not a real NLE' concerning the SR Mach III have got me worried. Are there 
  34. any happy SR Mach III users out there willing to come to the rescue ? I 
  35. don't want to make a mistake when unloading this kind of dough. Also can I 
  36. network (through SN or anything else) between an Alpha NT machine and an 
  37. Intel Pentium 166 using windows. Also anybody using the program QFX on their 
  38. Alphas? I heard from someone that its a better choice for Alpha than Photoshop.
